Shinji Yamashita was born in Hiroshima, Japan in 1981. After living in England for 7 years he moved back to Tokyo. Not only is he a talented musician he is also a skilled and unique illustrator.

The Kanashimi EP was he's first commercial release and is a collection of tracks, which were influenced by interest in the traditional theatrical performances such as Kabuki and Nou.So. Shinji's music is a unique and mystical beast which Shnji in his own words says "wants to express the enigmatic Japanese world that occurs in his own head". Shinji also wants to take his listeners on "spiritual journey of the mind when they listen to my music".

A second EP named Niraikanai is to be released shortly.
